Q. How do I remove my phone number from my voter registration record?

A. Information contained on your voter registration form is public record, except for your driver license and the last four digits of your social security number. If you wish to remove your phone number from your voter registration record, download a new voter registration form here, complete all of the fields except the phone number field, and mail it to your local Board of Canvassers.

Q. How do I find out if I am registered to vote in Rhode Island?

Anyone can look up their voter registration status here.

Q. How do I register to vote and what are the requirements?

A. You can view all the requirements and download a form here.

Q. How do I change my political party affiliation?

A. You can download a voter registration form here and mail it to your local Board of Canvassers, which are listed on the back of the form. Or you can complete a "Change Party Designation" form at the polling place after voting in a primary. Please note, under RI law disafiliating from a poltical party takes 90 days to take effect, so make sure you change your party 90 days before the next primary.

Q. How do I order a list of all registered voters in the state?

A. A list of registered voters is provided by the RI Office of Secretary of State. You can download a request form here.
